Rachel and Charlie. Gah. These two. Since the moment they sat down with me in my studio I could feel it. They’re just one of those couples with this incredible energy around them. They’re so in tune with each other, and clearly so grateful to have each other in their lives. They are currently relocating from Beacon Hill to New York City, so for their engagement session last month they asked if they could do their engagement session in the apartment where they fell in love, which they would be leaving behind a few weeks later. I was more than happy to oblige. We got our first real snow of the year that day, so we started out for a snowy stroll around their Beacon Hill neighborhood to get loosened up, and then moved inside for cocktails and slow dancing in the kitchen. Can’t wait to photograph their Mass MoCA wedding next summer.
And a quick PSA: moving forward, I am encouraging all of my couples to consider a shoot of this nature. A little outdoor stroll to get the blood flowing, and then move it on inside to do some more intimate images with the focus on connection and soul. 2017 is going to be pretty great.
Thanks again for taking a chance with me, Rachel and Charlie. This one’s for you:
